Helicopters play a vital role in combating the spread of these wild fires as they flare up, man and machine often working relentlessly to extinguish flames before it is too late.
For a number of years, BAC has successfully provided helicopter fire-fighting services through-out the Kwa-Zulu Natal province. Suitably equipped helicopters and skilled pilots, are stationed in high risk regions to be on standby for the duration of the 3 to 4 month fire season.
